What are the system requirements for CareGiver Assistant?
CareGiver Assistant can be installed and run on Windows 2000, XP, and Vista with 256MB of memory. The current version of CareGiver Assistant cannot be run on Mac. However, the next version of CareGiver Assistant, which has a tentative go-live date of April 1 of 2009, can be installed and run on Mac.

FriendRaiser Assistant can be installed and run on Windows 2000, XP, and Vista with 256MB of memory. The current version of FriendRaiser Assistant cannot be run on Mac. However, the next version of FriendRaiser Assistant, which has a tentative go-live date of April 1 of 2009, can be installed and run on Mac.

What is E-Help?
e-Help is a collection of video clips that show you how to perform certain tasks step-by-step. These video clips are flash-based. Some of these clips are free for everyone to view. Some require subscription in order to view.

What is Backup Plan?
Backup Plan allows you to upload your data file to our server. At any given point, if you need to restore your data, you can download the data files that you had previously uploaded to our server. In addition to the data file, you can also download the CareGiver Assistant or FriendRaiser Assistant installation files to re-install either CareGiver Assistant or FriendRaiser Assistant.

Who is eligible for the Backup Plan?
Only the most recent versions of FriendRaiser Assistant and CareGiver Assistant installation files will be available for download. If your center does not have the most current version of the software, you must upgrade first before subscribing to the Backup Plan. The installation files are large in their sizes; for this reason, we only recommend users with broadband internet connections (i.e. DSL or cable) to subscribe to the Backup Plan.

Can the software be run on a 64-bit system?
Both CareGiver Assistant and FriendRaiser Assistant can only be run on 32-bit version of Microsoft Access. If you have a 64-bit of Windows operating system, you must install a 32-bit of Access ODBC driver in order to install and run CareGiver Assistant or FriendRaiser Assistant.

The new version of both CareGiver Assistant and FriendRaiser Assistant can be run on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.

What will I get in the mail after purchasing the software?
You will receive the installation CD, a printed copy of the user guide, installation instructions, and a copy of the purchase receipt.

I lost my user guide. How can I get another one?
When you first purchase the software or when you first receive an upgrade, we will send you a complimentary printed copy of the most updated user guide. You can download the pdf format of the user guide by clicking on the corresponding link below. However, if you want another printed copy to be sent to you, there will be a charge of $25 (including S & H) per copy.

How long will it take for me to receive the software?
All orders will be sent out via First Class Mail. According to the United States Postal Services, First Class Mail takes about 3 to 4 business days to deliver. However, depending on the location of your center, the actual delivery time may vary.

Can CareGiver Assistant or FriendRaiser Assistant be run on multiple computers and read/update the data at one location?
Yes, as long as your computers are networked together, you can run CareGiver Assistant or FriendRaiser Assistant on multiple computers and have one centralized location for the data.

How can I set up my computers to run CareGiver Assistant or FirendRaiser Assistant on multiple computers?
First, you will need to network the computers together. Second, you will need to select a computer that will store the data file. The computer that has the data file is called a "Server". If you also want to run either CareGiver Assistant or FriendRaiser Assistant on the server, you will select the "Stand Alone" option at the time of installation. If the server computer will only hold the data file(s), you will select the "Network Server" option at the time of installation. On all the other computers, you will select the "Network Workstations" option at the time of installation. Once the program has been installed, you will need to make sure that all the computers have administrative rights to the data file location.

In Care Net Statistical Report, what is the difference between Education Level and Student Status?
Education Level is to indicate the last completed education level. Student Status is to indicate current enrollment status of the client. For example, if Client A has completed high school but is currently not enrolled in any schools, the education level for Client A would be "high school" and "not enrolled" for the student status. If Client B has completed high school and is currently enrolled in college, the educational level would be "high school" and "college" for the student status.
